Current status
SquidType does not currently load Google AdSense code. No advertising space is shown and no advertising cookie is intentionally created by SquidType. The hosting provider may use strictly necessary security mechanisms to deliver and protect the service.
Local storage and the consent notice
On a visitor’s first visit, SquidType displays a consent notice with “Essential only” and “Accept all” choices. The selected choice is remembered in local storage so the notice does not interrupt every page view. Local storage also remembers the theme, sound preference, total test count and recent score summaries on the device. It is not the same as an advertising cookie and its contents are not automatically transmitted with every web request. The stored history includes test metrics, not the full prompt or typed text.
If advertising is enabled
If the site is accepted into an advertising program, this policy will be updated before ads are activated. Where required, a certified consent-management platform will request or record visitor choices. Google and its advertising partners may then use cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention and measurement.
Visitors will be able to reach privacy choices through a persistent link. Ads will remain separate from test controls and will be labeled when the format does not make their nature clear.
Browser controls
You can remove SquidType local data through your browser’s privacy or site settings. Blocking all site storage may prevent recent-session history from working but should not prevent the core typing test.
